CCCZ Precision Oncology - For innovation in personalized cancer care
CCCZ’s research focus lies on precision oncology – enabling accurate diagnoses and personalized treatments for adults and children with cancer. CCCZ Precision Oncology Projects bring together expertise across disciplines to turn scientific discoveries into more precise diagnostics and targeted therapies.
CCCZ Lighthouse Projects encompass innovative science with clearly visible potential for clinical translation by connecting the basic research environment with oncological patient care. CCCZ Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs) develop diagnostic tests, interventional treatments, or technologies that have a direct impact on cancer outcome. The Zurich Precision Oncology Consortium (Z-POC, supported by CCCZ, The LOOP and TPC) tests and validates novel diagnostic and therapeutic concepts. The project utilizes cutting-edge technologies and key elements of data science. All projects are funded by the intramural Zurich Precision Oncology Funding Program and selected through external peer review, ensuring support for the most promising and scientifically excellent projects.
