CCCZ Membership - A network for academic excellence in oncology
Currently, more than 125 members collaborate closely within CCCZ, uniting expertise in cancer research and cancer medicine to advance innovation in oncology. Together, they drive scientific discovery, translate research into clinical practice, and work towards improving outcomes for people affected by cancer.
Requirements and Application
CCCZ membership is granted to individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be affiliated as a member or employee of the University of Zurich (UZH), University Hospital Zurich (USZ), Balgrist University Hospital, the University Children’s Hospital Zurich, or ETH Zurich, and demonstrate a strong connection to cancer research or clinical oncology.
- Applicants must hold a position as a research group leader or senior physician.
Furthermore, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria of scientific excellence:
- Serve as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on an active, externally funded oncology project, with funding awarded through a competitive peer-review process at the national or international level; or
- Have authored recent peer-reviewed scientific publications in oncology within the past two years; or
- Act as Principal Investigator of an oncology clinical trial at CCCZ, or regularly enroll patients in oncology clinical trials.
Membership is granted for a period of four years and may be renewed upon submission of a written application. Membership automatically terminates upon departure from one of the affiliated institutions listed above. Final decisions regarding admission are made by the CCCZ Board of Directors.
